HELP-CAR provides individually arranged vehicle transport within Poland and to selected European countries. The service is intended for customers who need a specific vehicle transported after a breakdown, collision, purchase, sale or another individual situation.
We do not operate regular transport lines, consolidated loads or professional freight-forwarding services on fixed routes. Each request is arranged separately, taking into account the type and condition of the vehicle, the pickup point, delivery address and required date.
Transport may be urgent or planned in advance for a specific day.
When may longer-distance vehicle transport be required?
Vehicle transport may be required when:
- the vehicle has broken down far from the owner’s home;
- the vehicle cannot safely continue after a collision;
- a vehicle has been purchased in another city or country;
- the vehicle must be delivered to a specialist workshop;
- the vehicle must be handed over to a new owner;
- it has no valid registration plates, insurance or legal ability to be driven;
- the vehicle is being prepared for registration;
- a company vehicle must be transferred between locations;
- continuing to drive could increase the damage;
- the customer requires individual delivery to a specified address.
Each request concerns a specific vehicle and a specific route. We do not combine unrelated orders into consolidated transport.
Urgent transport after a breakdown or collision
A breakdown outside the Tricity area or in another country may make it impossible to return in the vehicle. If repair at the location is impossible or not economically reasonable, the vehicle can be transported to a selected workshop, the customer’s home or a company base.
Before departure, we confirm:
- the vehicle’s exact location;
- the destination address;
- the technical condition;
- whether loading is possible;
- tow-truck access;
- the approximate route length;
- the required date.
For an urgent request, the exact location, photographs and information about the damage are especially important.
We do not promise immediate transport from every location in Europe. Availability depends on the current schedule, distance, travel time, applicable regulations and loading conditions.
Individually planned vehicle transport
Transport may be arranged in advance when the customer needs to:
- collect a purchased vehicle;
- deliver a vehicle to a workshop;
- move a vehicle to another city;
- hand the vehicle over to a buyer;
- collect a vehicle after repair;
- transport a vehicle without current documents allowing it to be driven legally;
- arrange a one-off transfer of a company vehicle;
- transport a vehicle to an event, exhibition or presentation.
A planned service remains an individual vehicle transport request. We do not offer scheduled departures or permanent routes between countries.
The date and conditions are agreed separately for every request.
What vehicles can be transported?
Whether transport is possible depends on the dimensions, weight, technical condition and loading method.
HELP-CAR can individually assess transport for vehicles including:
- passenger cars;
- SUVs and off-road vehicles;
- electric and hybrid vehicles;
- premium vehicles;
- classic and historic cars;
- accident-damaged vehicles;
- commercial vans;
- curtain-sided vehicles;
- motorhomes;
- selected special-purpose vehicles;
- disabled company vehicles.
This does not mean that every vehicle can automatically be accepted. Its actual specifications must be checked before the request is confirmed.
Platform specifications
The following platform specifications are considered when assessing transport:
- maximum load capacity: up to 5 tonnes;
- platform length: 6.2 m;
- platform width: 2.3 m;
- permitted transported-vehicle height: approximately up to 3.3 m without additional permits.
These specifications do not automatically mean that every vehicle within these limits can be transported.
Other relevant factors include:
- wheelbase;
- weight distribution;
- total combination height;
- protruding components;
- wheel and suspension condition;
- ability to secure the vehicle correctly;
- loading and unloading conditions;
- regulations applying to the planned route.
Final confirmation is provided after accurate information and photographs are received.
Vehicle condition affects the loading method
A roadworthy vehicle on an open car park is loaded differently from a vehicle after a major breakdown or collision.
Before accepting the request, provide information on:
- whether the vehicle starts;
- whether the wheels rotate freely;
- whether the steering works;
- whether the parking brake can be released;
- whether the vehicle has an automatic gearbox;
- whether it has four-wheel drive;
- whether fluids are leaking;
- whether the suspension or wheels are damaged;
- whether any body parts are loose;
- whether the vehicle is standing on level ground.
Incomplete information may make loading more difficult or require the transport method to be changed.
Vehicle pickup and delivery
The exact pickup and delivery addresses are agreed before transport.
A vehicle may be collected from:
- a car park;
- a workshop;
- a seller’s premises;
- a company yard;
- a breakdown location;
- a collision location;
- private property;
- an agreed point close to the route.
The destination may be:
- a workshop;
- the customer’s home;
- a company base;
- a car park;
- a vehicle dealership or sales yard;
- the seller’s or buyer’s address;
- another address agreed in advance.
The customer should ensure that an authorised person is present at both locations to release or receive the vehicle.
Tow-truck access
An address alone is not always sufficient to assess whether a vehicle can be collected.
Before transport, check:
- entrance width;
- turning space;
- gate height;
- weight restrictions;
- access-road gradient;
- surface type;
- low trees or overhead lines;
- access to the vehicle;
- whether the platform can be positioned directly in front of the vehicle;
- unloading conditions at the destination.
A narrow street, underground car park, gated site, construction area or soft surface may prevent direct pickup.
A different loading or unloading point may then be required.
Documents and authorisation to release the vehicle
The person releasing the vehicle must have the right to hand it over.
Depending on the situation, the following may be required:
- vehicle documents;
- proof of purchase;
- owner details;
- collection authorisation;
- keys;
- details of the person releasing the vehicle;
- details of the person receiving it;
- documents required for crossing a border.
The required documents depend on the country, the vehicle’s status and the type of request.
HELP-CAR does not provide customs, registration or vehicle-purchase intermediary services. The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the documents and the legal ability to release the vehicle.
Transporting a vehicle purchased abroad
An individually arranged collection of a vehicle purchased abroad may be possible after confirming:
- the seller’s exact address;
- contact details of the person releasing the vehicle;
- the vehicle’s technical condition;
- dimensions and weight;
- the collection date;
- the delivery address in Poland;
- availability of documents and keys;
- payment and vehicle-release conditions.
Before arranging transport, the customer should independently check the vehicle, seller and documents.
The transport driver does not carry out a professional technical inspection, assess the vehicle’s history or replace an independent vehicle expert.
Poland–Europe transport does not mean a regular service
HELP-CAR does not operate permanent routes between Poland and selected countries.
We do not provide:
- scheduled regular departures;
- consolidated transport of multiple vehicles;
- groupage freight;
- pallet or goods transport;
- professional freight forwarding;
- permanent routes for logistics companies;
- transport of separate parcels or cargo;
- delivery using a professional multi-vehicle carrier.
We complete individual requests concerning a specific vehicle, date and address.
The customer speaks directly with the person responsible for the transport and can discuss the vehicle’s condition and collection arrangements in detail.
What determines the transport price?
The cost is calculated individually.
The price is affected by:
- pickup location;
- destination address;
- route length;
- pickup and delivery countries;
- road tolls;
- vehicle type and dimensions;
- vehicle weight;
- technical condition;
- whether it can drive onto the platform;
- loading difficulty;
- access conditions;
- urgency;
- required date;
- possible waiting time at pickup;
- any additional preparation required.
Regular transport on a large multi-vehicle carrier may be cheaper, but HELP-CAR does not provide that service. Our offer concerns direct, individually arranged transport of a specific vehicle.
Before departure, the basic conditions and estimated price are agreed using the information supplied.
What information is required for a quotation?
Before contacting us, prepare:
- vehicle make and model;
- year of manufacture;
- exact pickup location;
- complete delivery address;
- requested date;
- vehicle length, width and height;
- actual or approximate weight;
- technical-condition information;
- whether the vehicle starts;
- wheel, steering and parking-brake condition;
- photographs of the vehicle;
- photographs of the pickup location;
- details of the person releasing the vehicle;
- details of the person receiving the vehicle.
For an urgent request after a breakdown or collision, also provide an exact location pin and photographs of the damage.
Individual transport without a call centre
At HELP-CAR, the request goes directly to the driver organising the transport.
There is no need to repeat the same situation to several consultants. During one conversation, the following can be discussed:
- vehicle type;
- technical condition;
- route;
- loading point;
- unloading point;
- required date;
- required photographs;
- preliminary transport conditions.
This helps identify problems that could affect collection or transport before departure.
